Jioufen Teahouse is the first art & cultural teahouse, located in the hundred-year old historical building, which led to the rejuvenation of Jiufen’s economy and art & culture. From its opening until now, Jioufen Teahouse team managed the Jioufen Gallery, Ceramic Art Workshop and the Artist Teahouse, interpreting the artist founder Mr. Hung Chi-Sheng’s viewpoint of life as aesthetics: decorating the ordinary life with “Tea, Pottery, Painting” , realizing the concept that “Art is Life, Life is Art”, and exhibiting beauty at the moment you contact. In the past, the location of Amei Teahouse was the site of the only blacksmith shop in Jiufen. Amei Teahouse preserves the historical building’s wood construction and presents a Japanese style of architecture. Cultural Story: Jiufen Golden Mine Museum is Taiwan’s first gold mining museum dedicated to the history of Jiufen. Established in 1992 by Mr. Zeng Shuichi, who was driven by the desire to preserve cultural heritage, the museum showcases the most primitive and ancient gold mining techniques passed down through three generations of his mining family. Mr. Zeng began working in the mines at the age of fourteen and has over thirty years of mining experience. The museum exhibits rare minerals collected over nearly a century, including [raw gold ore], [beautiful quartz], and [naturally formed golden flowers]. It offers guided tours of the mountain town, allowing visitors to explore Jiufen’s historical and cultural heritage and experience an insightful and meaningful journey.

Cultural Story: Taiwan Sweet Potato Teahouse leads through a historic mining tunnel that was once a vital route for gold extraction in Jiufen. Walking through this tunnel feels like stepping back into a 1950s movie scene. Inside, nostalgic and retro artifacts evoke a sense of distant hometown nostalgia. The restaurant offers breathtaking views of the bay, where sunlight, sea, blue sky, and green scenery blend together. The color of the seawater, the bay’s reflections, and the sunset create a dreamlike play of light and shadow; at night, the dark sea is dotted with the lights of fishing boats and harbor lamps, resembling a diamond-studded landscape. With its strong retro Taiwanese vibe, Taiwan Sweet Potato Teahouse serves authentic Taiwanese tea and dishes, offering a taste of local hospitality and flavor.

Cultural Story: The Gold Museum is Taiwan’s first museum designed with the concept of an ecological museum. Since its opening in November 2004, it has dedicated itself to integrating community efforts to preserve the precious natural ecology, mining heritage, scenic landscapes, historical memories, and cultural assets of the Jinguashi and Shui Nan Dong areas. Situated in the Jinguashi settlement, the museum is bordered by Shui Nan Dong to the north and Jiufen to the west. The volcanic geography has created a beautiful “mining mountain” rich in gold and copper minerals. Mining activities began in 1897 and continued until Taiwan Gold Company ceased mining in 1987, leaving behind numerous tunnels, cable cars, and buildings, as well as valuable historical materials. By preserving and revitalizing the mining heritage and landscape, the museum combines mining elements with diverse art forms to attract visitors and encourage a deeper understanding and longer stay in the mountain town.

Cultural Story: Located in Jinguashi, the Mountain Town Creation Workshop features handcrafted ceramics created by Mr. Hu Zongxian and his wife, Ms. Guo Qingrong.
